1. Overview of Our Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy forms part of the contractual agreement between you and Global Link Education Ltd ("we", "our", "the Company") and should be read in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy.

This policy outlines your rights and our obligations with respect to the cancellation of course purchases. It has been prepared in full compliance with the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and applicable UK consumer protection law.

2. One-Time Payment Structure — No Subscriptions

Global Link Education Ltd operates exclusively on a one-time payment model for all our online courses. This means:

  • You make a single payment at the time of enrollment to receive lifetime access to your chosen course.
  • There are no recurring subscriptions, automatic renewals, or hidden monthly charges of any kind associated with our standard course purchases.
  • There is nothing to "cancel" after the 14-day window in the traditional subscription sense — your access simply continues indefinitely.
  • Should we introduce any premium subscription-based services in the future, we will clearly communicate those terms separately at the point of purchase and they will include explicit cancellation instructions.

Because our courses are one-time purchases, the concept of "cancellation" under this policy refers specifically to exercising your statutory 14-day right to cancel the digital service contract and obtain a refund.

3. Your Statutory 14-Day Right to Cancel

Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a statutory right to cancel your purchase of a digital course within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date on which the contract was concluded (i.e., the date of purchase confirmation).

This is commonly referred to as the "cooling-off period." During this period, you may cancel your enrollment for any reason without penalty, subject to the conditions described in Section 4 regarding digital content access.

4. How Digital Content Delivery Affects Your Cancellation Right

Our courses are delivered entirely as digital content. Under Regulation 36 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, a consumer loses the right to cancel a digital content contract if:

  1. The performance of the digital content has begun (i.e., you have started accessing the course), AND
  2. The consumer acknowledged before beginning that the right to cancel would be lost once performance commenced.

By completing our checkout process and gaining immediate access to your purchased course, you acknowledge and agree that the performance of the contract (delivery of digital educational content) has begun. However, as a gesture of goodwill and in the spirit of consumer-friendly practice, we do not enforce the full forfeiture of cancellation rights immediately upon first access.

Instead, we operate a 20% course access threshold — meaning that if you have accessed less than 20% of the course content, you retain the ability to cancel and receive a full refund within the 14-day window. See our Refund Policy for full details on this threshold.

5. How to Exercise Your Right to Cancel

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this contract by means of a clear, unambiguous written statement. There are two ways to do this:

Option A — Email Cancellation (Preferred)

Send an email to info@globallinkeducationltd.com with the subject line "Cancellation Request – [Your Order Reference]". Include your full name, registered email address, and the name of the course you wish to cancel.

Option B — Telephone Cancellation

Call our support team on +44 7419 400257 (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM GMT) to verbally notify us of your intention to cancel. Please note we will require follow-up written confirmation via email for our records.

Await Confirmation & Review

Our team will acknowledge your cancellation request within 24 working hours. We will review your eligibility based on purchase date and course access data as recorded by our platform and notify you of the outcome within 48 working hours.

Refund Processed to Original Payment Method

If your cancellation is approved, your refund will be initiated within 1–2 business days and returned to the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your card issuer.

⚠️ Important: All cancellation requests must be submitted within the 14-day cooling-off period. The date and time of your email submission will be used to determine whether your request falls within the cancellation window.

6. Effects of Cancellation on Certificate Eligibility

If you cancel your course enrollment within the 14-day window and your refund is approved:

  • Your access to the course will be immediately deactivated upon confirmation of your approved refund.
  • Any progress data, quiz scores, and completion records associated with your enrollment will be deleted from our system.
  • You will not be entitled to retain, use, display, or claim any Certificate of Completion for a course for which a refund has been issued.
  • If a Certificate of Completion has already been generated, downloaded, or distributed, your cancellation and refund eligibility will be forfeited as the course is considered fully consumed.

7. Reimbursement Following Cancellation

If your cancellation request is approved under the terms of this policy, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you for the cancelled course, without undue delay. Our reimbursement commitments are:

  • Refunds will be initiated within 1–2 business days of the cancellation approval date.
  • Reimbursements will be made exclusively to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. We are unable to issue refunds via bank transfer, cheque, or alternative payment methods.
  • Global Link Education Ltd will not impose any fees or deductions on the amount refunded to you.
  • The total amount refunded will equal the full amount paid by you for the cancelled course, inclusive of any taxes where applicable.

8. Cancellation Scenarios & Outcomes

The following scenarios illustrate how our cancellation policy applies in practice:

  • Course content accessed: 10% (below 20% threshold)

  • Course content accessed: 5%

  • Purchase date: Day 0
  • Cancellation request: Day 8 (within 14 days)
  • Course content accessed: 35% (above 20% threshold)
  • Certificate status: Not yet issued
  • Outcome: Refund declined — access threshold exceeded

❌ Scenario D — Refund Declined (Certificate)

  • Purchase date: Day 0
  • Cancellation request: Day 13 (within 14 days)
  • Course content accessed: 100%
  • Certificate status: Downloaded by student
  • Outcome: Refund declined — course fully consumed

9. Cancellation Timeline Reference

The following timeline illustrates the key dates and deadlines relevant to a typical course cancellation:

Day 0

Purchase Confirmed: Payment processed, enrollment activated, confirmation email sent. The 14-day cancellation window begins.

Day 1–13

Cancellation Window Open: You may submit a cancellation request during this period. Eligibility subject to course access threshold.

Day 14

Final Day: The last day on which a cancellation request can be submitted. Requests must be received (not just sent) before midnight on this day.

Day 15+

Window Expired: Cancellation requests received from Day 15 onwards will not be accepted. No refunds will be issued.

10. Immediate Cancellation for Account Violations

Global Link Education Ltd reserves the absolute right to cancel or terminate student accounts and revoke course access immediately, without prior notice and without the right to a refund, in the following circumstances:

  • Sharing of account credentials with unauthorized third parties.
  • Fraudulent payment activity, including initiating unjustified chargebacks.
  • Unauthorized copying, distribution, or commercial exploitation of course materials.
  • Attempting to compromise, hack, or disrupt our platform or systems.
  • Abusive, threatening, or discriminatory conduct toward our staff or other students.
  • Any other material breach of our Terms and Conditions.

In such cases, the cancellation is initiated by Global Link Education Ltd and no refund will be provided, irrespective of how much course content was accessed or how recently the enrollment was made.

11. Cancellation of Discontinued Courses

In the event that Global Link Education Ltd makes the business decision to permanently discontinue a specific course from our catalogue, and you are an enrolled student who has not yet completed that course, we commit to the following:

  • We will provide a minimum of 30 calendar days' advance written notice via email to all currently enrolled students of the affected course.
  • You will be offered the choice of a full refund of the original purchase price, or a complimentary transfer to an alternative course of equal or greater value.
  • Students who have already completed the course and received their certificate will not be affected by the discontinuation of the course listing.
  • We will make every reasonable effort to archive course materials and provide students with adequate time to complete their studies before any discontinuation takes effect.
